A wonderful Special Educational Needs school near East Grinstead are looking for a Student Support Worker to work alongside children with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties. The school, set on beautiful grounds, has brilliant facilities in order for every student to access an interactive and practical curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:
-Working 1:1 and in small groups to promote active listening and development
-Promoting a caring environment and providing a high standard of care
-Ensuring effective communication with staff and students
-Taking part in recreational activities such as pottery, sewing and D&T
-Maintaining high standards of safety
-Implementing students' care plans appropriately

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-A passion for and an interest in SEN and physical disabilities
-Own means of transport is essential
-Excellent communication skills
-Able to work flexible shift patterns
-At least two professional references
