One of our partnership schools in Newham are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant on a full time basis, starting immediately. They are looking for someone that is confident, committed and that has a passion for making a difference to the lives of young children.

Job Responsibilities:

* Supporting children of a lower learning ability than the year group they are in
* Liaising with the relevant class teachers and SENCO when required
* Being adept within Speech and Language and/or Intervention
* Developing a rapport with children and utilising an empathetic approach
* To support children across all areas of learning with a variety of needs while also allowing them independence

Preferred Skills:

* Previous experience working with primary school children
* Understanding of Safeguarding
* A basic understanding of Speech & Language and/or intervention
* Having a DBS on the online update service or be willing to complete a new DBS application

* To be pro-active, understanding, empathetic and patient
* To have a passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development
