A Special Educational Needs school near Oxted are looking for a dedicated and passionate Student Support Worker for children with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties. You will help them to access an interactive and practical curriculum using the fantastic facilities the school has to offer. This is a full-time role with a shift work pattern.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Promoting a caring environment and providing a high standard of care
-Taking part in recreational activities such as pottery, sewing and D&T
-Maintaining high standards of safety
-Ensuring effective communication with staff and students
-Implementing students' care plans appropriately
-Working 1:1 and in small groups to promote active listening and development

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Able to work flexible shift patterns
-Excellent communication skills
-Own means of transport is essential
-A passion for and an interest in SEN and physical disabilities
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-At least two professional references
