If so, you could be perfect for this role. We are currently looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator for one of the world's premier global automotive suppliers. Our client is establishing a brand new, state of the art facility in the Telford area, specializing in high pressure die-casting that will design and build medium to large aluminium automotive components.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for effectively planning and processing all customer shipments supporting the customer's schedules and managing variations in demand and capacity. The Logistics Coordinator will use the business systems to create all required paperwork and labels in accordance with the customer specifics and guide the material handling team with the picking of inventory to achieve the customer's delivery schedule. The Logistics Coordinator will communicate directly with the customer and their chosen third-party logistics providers as well as all aspects of the company.

Responsibilities:

The role entails but is not limited to:-



* To understand and interpret MRP (Material Resource Planning) in order to schedule finished goods picking and shipping in a timely manner according to the capacity available for the departments and the customer schedules.
* Maintain a flexible approach and amend as necessary to meet contingencies arising
* Ensure Customer Service is maintained to the highest standard, proactively have discussions with production planning to ensure deliveries are on time
* Monitor EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) errors and achieve resolution
* Ensure all shipping paperwork is correct and advance shipping notifications are sent and fully correct to customer requirements
* Track and communicate daily, weekly, monthly shipments
* Update customer portals when required and provide data for any disparities between Magna and the customer
* Work with the material handlers to ensure finished goods are picked and processed in a timely manner
* Communicate shipping updates to required parties
* Use a lean approach to streamline processes and reduce WIP
* Obtain quotes, book and track other shipments for the site using assigned third-party logistics providers
* Support the Goods Receiving process, accepting deliveries and booking into stock
* Key SAP user and point of contact for other SAP users
* Perform any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the MP&L Manager
