* Ensuring best practice with regards to Health and Safety
* Managing the day to day activities on site to focus on the successful completion of the development/section of a development.
* Proposing improvements in systems and procedures to the Project Manager and Project Director
* Reports to Project Manager
* Maintaining accurate reporting and internal and external communication
* Protecting the company's reputation in the public arena


* Responsible for all management of all lifting operations on site including, but not limited to; tower cranes, mobile cranes, hoists, telehandlers/forklifts, excavator lifting, mast climbing work platforms, lorry loader cranes.
* All responsibilities for an Appointed Person as described in BS7121
* All roles and responsibilities
* Chair weekly lifting meetings
* Assess competence of contractor lifting staff
* Ensure weekly LOLER checks are undertaken and compliant
* Ensure examinations are undertaken in a timely manner
* Management of contractor lifting staff
* Responsible for draft lift plans and review associated task plans


* Development and implementation existing site logistics plan
* Implement site logistics plan with logistics contractor and trade coordination
* Chair daily coordination meetings
* Ensure compliance of contractors on delivery management system.
* Day to day management of logistics contractor
* Enforce on site storage allocations
* Ensure logistics contractor is briefed on arrangements that have been agreed during tenders for each contractor
* Gate management
* Site access entry system management and reporting
* Management of site temporary electrics installation and contractor
