Maintenance Manager - FM Provider - Buckinghamshire - Up to 50K + car or allowance

Excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the industry's leading facilities services' providers.

They have a wealth of experience and they manage and deliver facilities services to some of the UK's most important and business critical commercial and government buildings.

These include major corporate head offices, government properties, schools, colleges, hospitals, shopping complexes, retail multiples, business parks, airports, industrial processing plants power facilities and military bases.

This role is based at a hospital in Buckinghamshire and the facilities team is made up of 15 staff which includes maintenance personal, specialist contractors and various project staff.

The overall responsibility of the role will be for the management of the maintenance and projects within the buildings together with the co-ordination of environmental, health and safety and emergency/disaster planning policies and procedures.

Essential qualities that the Maintenance Manager should have include the ability to manage customer satisfaction, external contractors, supplier services and quality of service delivery in line with contractual requirements and service level agreements.

The main duties of the role are as follows:



* Ensure that works are coordinated to ensure suitable safe access and segregation is maintained.
* Understand project objectives and communicate to site teams.
* Sets up teams to complete sections of work.
* Recognises change on site and retains records as required by the established change control process.
* Assists in establishing procedures to ensure that all safety documentation is collated and retained for example scaffold inspection records, PUWER records etc.
* Participates in knowledge share events.
* Develops day to day plan for site operations from project programme.
* Fully aware of the resource requirements to effectively complete a section of work.
* Familiar with supply chain procedures.
* Records outcomes and advises others on potential improvements.
* Seeks opportunities to improve on provided information for commercial or practical benefit.
* Identifies and defines problems that require a solution.
* Engages with designers / subcontractors to develop conceptual and detailed solutions to problems.

Candidates for this role must be able to demonstrate the following:



* Strong technical understanding; electrical and mechanical.
* Proven ability to motivate and lead teams.
* Previous project management experience.
* Demonstrable experience of budget management and control of small revenue works, together with the ability to deliver monthly numbers at senior meetings with an explanation of variances.
* Experience of managing a workforce of various levels and disciplines within the M&E environment.
* Extensive experience of managing sub-contractors and supply chain within a complex multi faceted operation.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
* Experience and knowledge of hard services to ensure all maintenance is carried out in line with statutory regulations.
