Maintenance Supervisor (M&E Supervisor)


Bootle, Liverpool


£35,000 + Package


Monday - Friday / 8.30 - 17.30 with 1 hour for lunch


Job Profile

To supervise the M&E Maintenance Teams, ensure work is dealt with to the Contract specification and client satisfaction.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Some of the duties and responsibilities of the role are listed below -
* To supervise the M&E technicians and all specialist sub-contractors.
* To assist in planning work for direct and contract labour and ensure that this work is carried out within cost and time targets, and that accurate records of the actual work carried out are maintained.
* To ensure the immediate and proper allocation of work and the completion of such work in accordance with the performance monitoring system.
* To order materials and services, as required, within agreed delegation level and certify satisfactory delivery/completion. Update and maintain records; stock control, engineer's reports, maintenance contacts & such like.
* To provide estimates, site measurements, cost control information and maintain necessary records for effective administration, as directed.
* To liaise as necessary with client representatives and resolve any matters which may arise.
* To ensure that work is completed on target and to the satisfaction of the client.
* To Manage staff in accordance with the guidance and standards of the business. To include but not limited to Appraisals, Employee relations and Development.
* To monitor the Technicians' performance and sickness in accordance with agreed Capability Procedures, & deal with any disciplinary matters in accordance with the Company's Disciplinary Procedure.
* To provide cover for other supervisors, on call engineers, and Technicians due to holiday and sickness absence where necessary. To organise out-of-hours emergency work, as and when required.
* To comply with the Company's Policies, Management Plans and Procedures.
* To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.
* To support the Company's Quality Policy Statement and actively participate in the achievement of Company and personal Quality objectives.
* The ability to cover for the Contract Manager as and when required.
