Are you an experienced Maintenance Surveyor, seeking a permanent position in the heart of Bristol?

My client has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Surveyor / Project Manager to join their Homes Improvements team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will assist the organisation in providing home improvement services and products to increase independence, comfort and mobility in the home.

Responsibilities:



* Deliver a Home Improvement Agency service to older, disabled, vulnerable, self-funding and low income people in Bristol and B&NES.
* Survey domestic properties and identify repairs, maintenance and adaptation requirements in the homes of older, vulnerable and disabled customers and advise upon appropriate remedial work and likely costs.
* Consult with customers regarding repairs, improvements and adaptations to their homes and prepare or arrange the preparation of schedules of work/drawings/specifications as required, taking into account their individual resources, needs and wishes and financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
* Provide estimates for work, evaluate and advise the customer so that they may choose appropriate solutions to their repair, maintenance, adaptation and improvement.
* Monitor the work of contractors through to final completion, ensure that work is carried out to a high standard and that any defects are rectified to the customer's satisfaction.
* Liaise with local authority building inspectors, occupational therapists, independent surveyors, engineers, builders, tradespeople and establish good working relationships.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will ideally have Project Management experience with a specialist Surveying/Architectural background.

HNC/HND qualification in building and Construction is desirable.

Conversant in producing plans, specifying works and overseeing projects on site.
