We are recruiting for a Materials Buyer on behalf of an Mechanical and Electical Building Services Contractor to work out of their office in York.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Buyer will be responsible for sourcing materials to meet the business and client's requirements ensuring best value & quality are obtained whilst guaranteeing sustainability governance is met.

Remuneration:

Salary of around £30,000 to £40,000 + Car / Car Allowance + Package

Experience Required:

Good numerical/analytical skills as well as literacy skills
Working in a Material Buying / Purchashing role for an M&E Building Services Contractor
Excellent communicator across all levels of the organisation
Computer literate - MS Office Suite
Key Accountabilities:

Processing Orders - materials
Sourcing requested materials
Confirming items on requisitions with site
Maintaining good relations in all dealings with suppliers and attend supplier meetings
Raise orders for contracts using preferred suppliers.
Ensure compliance with client frameworks.
Resolve invoice queries and expedite orders.
Provide a service provision for Site Teams.
