Are you a diligent, confident and caring Mental Health Nurse who is seeking a work environment that is committed to providing person-centred care? A Crisis and Home Treatment team in the Carlisle area currently need a Mental Health Nurse to provide care and support to individuals who are in mental health crisis.

As a Mental Health Nurse working within the Crisis/Home Treatment team you will be responsible for carrying out mental health assessments on individuals who have been referred to the service, and making recommendations on how their care proceeds.

Responsibilities of the Mental Health Nurse include:
- You will be responsible for carrying out home visits to service users Carlisle who may be known to other services (i.e. CMHT's) if their needs escalate.
- You will also be required to work closely with other teams and services, including local drug and alcohol organisations, police, GP's and doctors/ward managers within inpatient hospital facilities nearby.
- You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely records and an electronic diary, using the RiO patient recording system
You will have the opportunity to negotiate your working pattern at the point of interview - the team are flexible and will try wherever possible to accommodate your needs outside of work.

This role requires you to meet the following criteria:
- Valid NMC registration
- Nursing qualification (diploma or degree in Mental Health Nursing)
- Post qualification experience working as a Mental Health Nurse
- It is beneficial, but not essential, to have worked in a Psychiatric Liaison, Home Treatment or Crisis
NHS environment previously
