Mouldshop Team Leader/Setter required on a permanent basis to join an industry leading manufacturing business.

You have a background in a mouldshop environment to setter level? Have you got experience of leading a team in a fast paced manufacturing environment? If you are seeking an exciting challenge then this is the role for you!

You will play a key role in providing leadership to ensure high levels of productivity and take responsibility for the quality of products produced during the shift. We are looking for an experienced team leader who also has injection moulding experience to setter level along with a quality driven mind set.

Hours:

You will be employed to work 40 hours per week. You will be expected to work alternating shifts, covering two day shifts 06.00-14.00 (Mon-Fri)/14.00-22.00 (Mon-Fri). A flexible approach to working additional hours, possibly on nights or weekends when required is preferred

Key responsibilities:



* Ensure company Health, Safety & Environmental Policies are adhered to
* Ensure security of facilities during designated shift hours
* Lead the production team, coach and motivate team members, ensuring individual and group productivity
* Ensure labour is effectively used and direct reports are achieving optimum performance
* Plan and deliver training/coaching and inductions for workforce in line with Standard Operating Procedures
* Ensure high quality standards in line with customer expectations and assist managers in continuous improvement
* Complete quarterly performance assessments for direct reports using online HR portal and one to ones
* Provide support for the workforce within your scope of authority and escalating to managers where appropriate
* Carry out team briefings and shift handovers to ensure a seamless changeover
* Responsible for addressing all people issues within your team (discipline, absence, conduct, performance) with support from your Line Manager and HR
* Completion of OEE sheets and other relevant paperwork
* Assist setter with tool changes including preparation, cleaning hoppers, material preparation
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping in line with 5S protocols

Experience required:



* Be proficient and experienced at leading a team of people and driving performance improvement.
* A Team Leader qualification is not essential but would be an advantage. In addition the successful candidate will be confident and conversant with plastic injection moulding in order to take ownership of the process during its cycle (start to finish)
* Be an experienced setter (PTIC Level 2 or 3 would be an advantage)
* have an eye for detail
* Be able to demonstrate a continuous improvement/problem solving mindset
* Be able to read and understand standard operating procedures and train operators to follow these
* Be a good communicator at various level
* Be willing to learn and embrace new ways of working, and embrace and ever changing production demands or requirements
* Be familiar with MRP systems and how they can be used to help resolve issues
* Be self-motivated
