PLANNER NEEDED IN MAIDSTONE

We are looking for a Planner experienced with Primavera P6 and Asta Power Projects. Are you a Planner looking for a new contract in Kent? We have a new freelance Planner vacancy with a great company on an exciting new project.



* Job title: Planner
* Location: Mid-Kent
* Start date: October 2018
* Duration: 3 months +
* Day rate: £300 - £400 per day (dependent upon experience.

The company:

A circa £500 million turnover multi-disciplinary, principal and main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland and UAE. The company's focus is delivering high-quality projects (works include major civil engineering schemes, leisure, industrial, education, rail and aviation) to a host of public and private sector clients with project values ranging from £6-£90 million.

The role:

Due to a large increase in contracts awarded across the Southern Home Counties the need has arisen to recruit for a Freelance Planner to supplement two project teams. The projects include are both steel frame and working for prestigious clients which at this time cannot be disclosed due to the nature of the work being carried out.

About you:

As the Project Planner you will be working in tandem with the Project Managers, Design Managers, Engineers and the visiting Contracts Manager as well as the client's agents you will be responsible for:



* Developing and producing detailed phasing plans and programmes to determine construction sequences using Asta Power Projects and Primavera P6.
* Coordination of input from internal and external departments in to the programme.
* Progress of programmes with the site teams and highlighting risk areas and introduce mitigation measures.
* Liaison with site teams and contractors regarding programme input.
* Collation of progress information and production of reporting.
* Update programmes following change control procedures.

Key Skills and Qualifications:



* Academic qualification (BSc, HNC/D etc.) in a construction related field.
* Extensive experience in the construction industry including experience in the planning and programming of building and civil engineering schemes.
* Experienced operator of Primavera P6 and Asta Power Projects.
* Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card is desirable.
