I have a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Planning Enforcement Officer to join a team on an initial 6 month contract.

Responsibilities:



* Recognising breaches of agreements
* To investigate alleged breaches of planning control in accordance with Department's Planning Enforcement Policy
* Liaising with other council departments to ensure consistency of approach
* Representing the Company at Court
* Negotiating remedial action
* Making recommendations as to the expediency of taking enforcement action
* Checking compliance with enforcement notices and prosecuting for non-compliance
* Writing to complaints and offenders
* Attending unaccompanied site visits.

Requirements:



* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Hold a recognised qualification in Town Planning or have a combination of knowledge and experience of planning or law enforcement
* A membership (or working towards) for the RTPI at an appropriate level.
* Have great telephone manner and inter personal skills.

Desirable:



* A background in planning enforcement.
