* Clean Driving Licence (required)
* Degree in Civil Engineering/ Geotechnical Engineering (required)
* Post-grad qualification in Geotechnical Engineering (desirable)
* Achieved Chartered status (ICE or similar) (desirable)
* Understanding of EC7 and CIRIA + BRE documents relating to piling
* Broad experience of wider geotechnical solutions beyond piling (required)
* Experience in ground investigation (required)
* Personal Track Safety Certificate (desirable)


* To manage, mentor and provide design/technical guidance to team members and other parts of the the Group
* Act as 'Project Manager' accountable for the successful delivery of the project
* Act as CRE (Design) for rail projects
* Act as designer, checker and approver (depending on competence) as required by the project
* Ability to interpret site investigation and window samples to derive appropriate soil parameters and ground models
* Prepares reports and coordinate the production of detailed AutoCAD drawings for issue
* Site visits to carry out site inspections and investigations, ensuring the appropriate samples are excavated and sent to a suitable laboratory for testing
* Write Geotechnical specifications to instruct work at site
* Design and carry out desk top studies and supervise site operations
* Liaise with other Professionals internally and externally, including Contractors, sub-Contractors and Clients
* Attend and contribute to meetings both internal and external
* Develop good working relationships with others based on technical excellence, professionalism and openness
* Organise all relevant method statements and risk assessments in accordance with Construction regulations and health and safety policies
* Help drive the business towards their aims for BIM
