Are you a Principle Highways Engineer? Looking for a new role? Have experience both in the design and construction phases of a project?

Randstad are currently looking for a Principle Highways Engineer to be based out of Cardiff and work nationwide with this reputable company. You will be working for one of the UK's largest consultancies providing sound design and managing advice - delivering comprehensive services and providing support throughout the entire project.

The role;

- You shall undertake all technical aspects for the projects sound delivery, including concept design, perparation of tender and contract documents.

- Implement projects to meet quality, health, safety and environmental standards.

- You must have understanding of any works assigned to a team or engineers working on a range of complex projects.


- Arrange procurement of highway improvement works through tendering.

- Using NEC3 contracts and manual of contract documents for highwya works when preparing schemes for tendering.

- Undertake feasibility studies.

- Surpervising works on site, determining projects final accounts and general economic efficiency of the project.


- Bachelors in Civil Engineering or a related subject OR CEng MICE.

- Minimum five years experience in the design, implementation and supervision of all aspects of highways and civil engineering.

- Extensive knwoledge and understanding of relevant legislations and working knowledge of said legislations.

Desirable Qualifications

- Experience of Welsh government/Highways England delivery
