Process Engineer

£30-£35k based on experience




This is an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our passionate and knowledgeable Process Improvement team. We are looking to recruit people who share our passion for innovation and sustainability, who have worked in a manafacturing environment.


* Develop departmental data structure and data analysis for team based problem solving activities, working with supervision and operators to lead improvement in current processes and develop a culture of continuous improvement
* Use data analysis tools and methods, to interpret data collected, to identify improvement projects, such as cost savings in both long and short term horizons
* Sustain improvement projects through implementing sustaining actions within the department and communicating changes with department managers and supervisors
* Lead and facilitate the development of process controls to ensure plant process capability is maintained and improved using relevant tools
* Define the correct level of process controls for and identify adjustments and amendments to raw materials and additives which will reduce costs.
* Carry out process and engineering investigations and rectify specification / product and quality problems
* Coordinate the introduction of new processes through trials and training
* Work with Maintenance personnel to creatively solve equipment downtime and quality issues impacting the attainment of plant performance targets.
* Liaise with internal customers to gain knowledge and understanding of current and future operational requirements to develop understanding of internal customer needs
* Promote and lead continuous improvement in all areas of the plant through the adoption and implementation of WCM philosophies tools and techniques

Are you who we are looking for?

For the Process Engineer role specifically it is important that you have:

* Experience within a manufacturing environment in improving processes.
* Experience of WCM or similar continuous improvement methodology.
* Project management skills and exposure to leading managing and developing teams.
* Experience and knowledge of Foundry or Metallurgical processes an advantage
