Do you have experience working within a busy procurement team, whereby you are responsible for managing suppliers to ensure on time delivery of essential parts? Do you have a background in procurement or material planning and are you looking for a long term temp to possible perm opportunity within the Swindon area? As a procurement controller, you will be assisting with the procurement and distribution of parts within an after sales market. You will be working as part of a team who each take responsibility for their own accounts, whilst supporting each other when needed. On a day to day basis you will be;
*Talking to suppliers and managing performance
*Chasing orders to ensure on time delivery
*Identifying potential delivery issues that may cause business escalation issues
*Questioning and sometime have the need to challenge information
*Seeking alternative stock/suppliers
*Completing reports
*Working to often very tight deadlines
*Continuously building relationships with internal and external suppliers
*Identifying and supporting other team members at busy times

Skills and experience required;
*Minimum of 2-3 years of working within a procurement or materials planning role
*Excellent communication and rapport building skills
*Proficient in MS Office
*Ability to identify and solve problems or potential problems
*You must have a keen eye for detail and accuracy

*Team player
*Very flexible in your approach to work
*Tenacious with a probing mind
*Highly organised
*Ability to work under pressure and to short time frames

This job can at times seem repetitive and routine, however it is an essential function within this business to ensure delivery of customer excellence. You must have a driving license as you may at times need to travel. You will be working full time hours and a uniform will be provided. The interview process will be just one stage, where you will be invited to meet the client and present why you are the right person for this job.
