The role will require you to:

* maintain the inventory management system to allow for ordering of stock and non-stock and recording of procedures
* provide operational support in the delivery of the requirements of the Procurement Strategy
* lead on tender and quotation exercises
* liaise and maintain relationships with both the catalogue team and clinical teams
* showcase the system to both external and internal stakeholders and put forward the business cases to generate more uptake of the system
* produce numerous reports and conduct regular meeting with the department leads
* conduct regular team meetings and contract reviews
* be able to travel

This is a role where attention to detail and accuracy is extremely important as well as providing excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate would have:

* minimum 2 years experience in a supplies environment
* CIPS Qualification /studying towards qualification
* knowledge and understanding of Corporate Governance, purchasing legislation,
* policies and guidelines such as quotation, tender and European Tender (OJEU)
* demonstrated management experience
* project management experience
* ability to create, design and produce reports using Excel and internal systems
* experience of small purchasing projects
