We are looking for a Production Operative - Material Handler for 3 months potentially on-going in Grays, Essex.

* Rotating Shifts

* WEEK 1 MON, TUES: 06:00AM-18:00PM. FRI, SAT, SUN: 18:00PM-06:00AM
* WEEK 2 WEDS, THURS: 06:00AM-18:00PM
* WEEK 3 MON, TUES: 18:00PM-06:00AM. FRI, SAT, SUN: 06:00AM-18:00PM
* WEEK 4 WED, THURS: 18:00PM-06:00AM

* £11.69 PER HOUR plus £134.00 PER WEEK shift allowance.

Flexibility is key as weekend work will be required.

Responsibilities:


The purpose of the production operative and material handler is to process and move parts through the organisation, handling a variety of important or hazardous materials.



* Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities
* Receive materials into the department and verify materials to ensure accuracy of the delivery.
* Count parts to check quantity and accuracy.
* Escalate to Shift Manager when delivery is inaccurate to rectify the discrepancy.
* Fill out paperwork accurately and perform transactions in the inventory system to enter new quantities and, during production process, to remove inventory from stock.
* Use material moving equipment such as powered and manual pallet trucks, forklifts to bring materials to an appropriate location.
* Issue materials to different departments.
* Monitor stock levels and request re-orders as necessary.
* Dispose of any waste materials
* Adhere to safety procedures and regulations, including wearing special protective PPE and disposing of materials as regulated by law.

Requirements:



* Competence in IT and basic maths skills
* Desired - Experience within Production Material Handler role
* Physically demanding role on 12 hour shifts which involves standing and bending.
* Manual handling of up to 25kg's
* Use of manual handling equipment
