Job Title Planner/Material Control Administrator


Main Purpose of the Job
* Responsible for the day to day planning of value streams
* Daily Purchasing and Material Control duties

Relationships Internal - Customer Services, Customer Services Manager, Shift Leaders, Operations Manager, Production, Supply Chain Manager
External - Suppliers

Principal Accountabilities

* Build rolling four week production plan for specific manufacturing assets and fixed weekly schedule
* Confirming product availability dates to customer service representatives and ensuring customer delivery dates are achieved
* Setting monthly/weekly/daily production targets
* Monitoring overall work mix and minimize impact upon production efficiency
* Maintaining WIP and Aged WIP levels
* Production order creation and maintenance
* Daily system housekeeping
* Working closely with Material Controller, review the demand from the SAP/MRP process
* Control all stocks, ensure stock levels are minimised and accurate stock records
* Ordering raw material, ensuring best cost, optimum stock levels and customer satisfaction
* There will be opportunity to learn different aspects of the packaging and manufacturing industry

In addition to the above, the job holder is expected to undertake any task as directed by his/her line manager that could be reasonably expected within the remit described and is within his/her capability.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

* Highly analytical and well organised
* Good level of Maths
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Interested in/ability to learn new systems
* Ability to work under pressure
* Strong communication skills using tact and diplomacy whilst being appropriately assertive
* Flexible/practical and disciplined
* The ability to build and sustain relationships in all areas and levels
