Job: Project Maintenance Surveyor, £21.50 - £23.50 p/h, Tameside, Greater Manchester

Are you an experienced project surveyor who is looking for a long-term contract with a nationally based leading consultancy. All of the work will be based in the North-West and will comprise of a mixture of office, home-based and site work.

This is a long-term contract, so please only apply if you are able to commit to a minimum 6 month term.

The Role:
Assist the in-house Property Service Manager in ensuring the clients development and planned maintenance/investment programmes are effectively co-ordinated



* Assist in the delivery of Cyclical, Planned Maintenance and Improvement projects and programmes to a mixture of commercial and residential assets.
* Provide a range of Building Inspection & supervision services in relation to the maintenance of the clients housing stock
* Ensuring that such works are carried out in accordance with procedure and specification, including voids, pre and post, planned, technical & stock condition
* Carry out site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with contract specifications and drawings, current legislation and the Council's standards and policies
* Take measurements and samples on site to ensure that the work and materials meet the required specifications and quality standards
* Assist, instruct and advise contractors on site on matters related to quality control, and the interpretation of contract documents
* Provide data on Planned Works completions to the Asset Management Team for validation and logging in the asset management database in a timely fashion, and in the required format.
* Using AutoCAD to complete 2D floor-plans, elevations and other schematics


Requirements:



* Experience working within the Social Housing Sector
* Experience of working with the JCT contracts and external Contractors
* Knowledge of contract administration and health and safety legislation
* A working knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous
* BSc in Building surveying or similar discipline
