My client, an independent regulatory body based in Bristol, has an immediate opening for a Public Information Officer to join their team. This is a temporary role anticipated to run at least 6-8 weeks.

The Public Information Officer is responsible for managing the public enquires service and also providing some administrative support to internal stakeholders. The successful applicant will deal with incoming telephone and email enquiries, responding to enquiries and/or signposting as appropriate and accurately updating information.

This role would suit someone from a customer service background who can demonstrate an excellent telephone manner and with experience of dealing with difficult or complicated enquiries in a time-sensitive manner. Excellent written and oral communication skills will be essential along with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a good working knowledge of my clients purpose and remit in order to effectively deal with enquiries.


Essential Criteria



* Self-confident and good communication skills, both written and oral
* A proven team player, willing to help others to achieve results and take on new challenges
* Self-motivation and an ability to work with minimum supervision
* A strong attention to detail
* Excellent IT skills - particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, ability to prioritise effectively and multi-task in order to meet tight deadlines
