Looking to take on an exciting new Social Work opportunity? Have you worked in front line children's Social Work teams? Do you want to progress your career in a large local authority with plenty of opportunity, If so our client wants to hear from you.



Randstad Care is currently recruiting for a fantastic new role as a Child Protection Social Worker on behalf of Lancashire County Council. The contract is for 6 months with the possibility of extension and the rate of pay is between £30 - £32 per hour.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

-Work with children who have child protection plans (experience of court work is essential)
-Work with looked after children and permanency planning
-Manage child protection care proceedings
-Attend court
-Write reports and assessments
-Manage complex cases and care plans
-Safeguard children under the Child Protection or Court Frameworks
-Undertake Section 47s and risk assessments
-Mentor and supervise students and be an allocated worker for children
-Chair Core Groups



In order to be considered for this role, you should have:

-1 years experience of working in children's services as a Social Worker
-A clean driving licence and a access to own vehicle
-HCPC registration and valid Enhanced DBS
-A Social Work Degree/Masters/CCETSW
