Are you an experienced Social Worker within Children's Social Services, passionate about ensuring the people you work with receive the help they need?

If so, Cumbria County Council is looking for a Social Worker to work within the Support and Protection team in Kendal. The contract is initially 6 months, however may be extended. If you are a Social Worker looking for your next Challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

As a Social Worker you will be responsible for:

-You will be working within a supportive team with a committed leadership team which is focused on improving the outcomes of families across Cumbria
-Working on a Safeguarding caseload including child in need, child protection, looked after children and section 47's
-An agreed caseload of referrals from the contact and referral team either with a completed assessment, established plan or a new enquiry
-Providing evidence for cases if taken to court where necessary
-Implementing, reviewing and updating care plans

The minimum requirements for this role are:

-HCPC Qualification
-Social Work Qualification
-Experienced in Child Protection cases and Court Work
