job description

The client are a privately owned company based in Aldershot that specialise in the development of mid-high end traditional build housing and smaller commercial buildings.

Their longstanding Quantity Surveyor is soon to retire so they are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to oversee 3/4 sites reporting into the Commercial Director. Candidates must have at least 5 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor and must be based within an hour of Aldershot. Due to the level of experience required the client have stated they would be looking to pay up to £60k + package.

Responsibilities:
1. Making sub-contract payments;
2. Measurement of sub-contract works on site;
3. Produce cost and value reports;
4. Material take offs to produce sub-contract Orders;
5. Place sub-contract orders;
6. Day to day duties to help sites run smoothly;
7. Pricing up of Purchasers Extras and placing orders for works;
8. Assist Managing Surveyor with budgets and cash flow for
sites;
9. Assist Managing Surveyor with land appraisals / Housing
Association tenders
