Ambitious Quantity Surveyor needed to join an expanding Drylining Subcontractor commercially managing packages valued between £200k-£2m based in Central London / Essex!

Due to ongoing strategic growth my client are looking for an ambitious QS to join their expanding Drylining Division. The right candidate would ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience working for a Drylining Subcontractor and be competent in the measurement, pricing and the commercial management of multiple contracts ranging between £200k - £2m in value. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a fast growing, forward thinking company who can offer the right candidate the opportunity for quick career progression.


The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail, enjoy working as part of a team, possess good organisational skills and be capable of scheduling and managing their own time. This is a client facing role so demonstrable previous experience is essential as will be your ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Duties;


- Setting of both Labour and Material targets
- Reviewing Main Contractors orders and identifying and addressing problematic
clauses/ risks
- Manage the daily requirements of the contract, including the preparation of
valuations and the valuing of any variation works.
- Internal cost control
- Preparation of monthly Cost Value Reports for live projects.
- Final account negotiations through to closure

About You;


- A bachelor's degree (or similar) in a construction related subject would be
preferable but not essential.
- Experience in similar client facing role essential
- A minimum of 4 years in a similar organisation with proven technical ability
- Good communication skills and an ability to work with people of varying levels.
- Strong team player with collaborative work ethic
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Good level of technical understanding of drylining & ceiling systems, screed, SFS
and insulated render.
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all parties
- Good organisational skills.
- Valid UK Driving Licence
