A new freelance Quantity Surveyor position is available in Ipswich, are you looking for a new role and do you have experience on large-scale Design and Build projects with main contractors?

I'm looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work with a market leading main build contractor, based in Ipswich, this is an ongoing contract with an opportunity to progress into a permanent placement for the right candidate.

Location: Ipswich

Contract length: Ongoing

FOC: Design and Build

Day rate: £300 - £350 (dependant on exp.)

Roles and responsibilities:

* Be responsible for initiating and leading tasks/processes
* Responsibility for the procurement subcontract packages
* Ensure that the contractor's commercial position is protected using in-depth understanding of contractual, commercial, insurance and legal processes
* Liaise with the client, PQS and Senior staff
* Reporting to the on site Project Manager

Candidate Requirements:

* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar / Equivalent HND (not necessary)

* Experience working with a tier 1 contractor on large projects

* Experience working with internal packages

* Experience with large tenders for work

* Have a very good work ethic and be willing to work hard
