They are looking to expand on their growing and diverse team by recruiting a Quantity Surveyor their office based in Dinnington - Sheffield.

Skills & Qualifications

* 2/3 years' experience working within a contracting environment (rail experience preferred but not essential)
* Ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised
* ICE/CECA Contract awareness
* Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
* MS Office - Essential

Main Duties:

* Provide contract details to Subcontract Buyer for issue of tender enquiries to formalise the procurement of Sub Contractors.
* Organise, attend and record start-up / progress meetings with all Subcontractors and key suppliers ensuring that deliverables and the delivery programme conform to the requirements of the Main Contract and specification in conjunction with the relevant Contracts Manager.
* Ensure compliance with my clients Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies.
* Administer all Subcontract accounts ensuring compliance with the agreed terms and conditions of Subcontract.
* Assess interim applications and authorise payments. Negotiate Final Account settlement in accordance with company procedures.
* Prepare and submit cost monitor to delivery team and monitor site performance on a weekly basis.
* Assist the project delivery team in the preparation and valuation of Change Requests for submission to the client in accordance with the Main Contract provisions.
* Maintain input to my clients management accounts, supply chain database and information systems in accordance with company procedures.
* Liaise with the Commercial Manager and relevant Contracts Manager at all stages of the contract works.
* Evaluate and report contract commercial performance and financial recovery.
* Prepare and submit contract in accordance with contractual entitlement appropriate measures to secure commercial/ financial recovery.
