Registered Manager - Bristol
Salary - £33,000 - £36,000

A learning disabilities service are recruiting for a Registered Manager to deliver a quality care and support service to our service users in line with our care principle of providing the type of care that you would expect a loved one to receive.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the unit and its resources and budgets and ensure compliance with the regulatory framework. This will be achieved by ensuring the highest quality of service is provided for the clients through their care planning process and that unit staff are encouraged and supported to achieve their full potential.

The ideal candidate will significant experience of working in a management role in an appropriate health care service and demonstration of a meaningful working knowledge of relevant legislation.

Responsibilities Include:

* To provide in line with LSHG policy leadership, guidance and management to all staff within their sphere of responsibility.
* To establish and participate in an effective on call rota.
* To ensure all visitors to the site have appropriate authority and supervision
* To be responsible for the annual budget of the unit agreed by the finance team under the supervision of the Area Manager.
* To ensure that supervision and appraisals are regularly undertaken in line with LSHG policy and to ensure clinical objectives are achieved
* At all times use all reasonable endeavours to promote the interests and welfare and maintain the goodwill of LSHG
* To ensure that LSHG Policies and Procedures are followed at all times.
* To ensure the provisions of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) are adhered to.
* To actively participate in the recruitment of staff in conjunction with the Human Resources Department and to develop practice and culture to promote the retention of staff.
* Ensure that all staff adheres to LSHG Confidentially Policy.
* To participate in the broader business activities of LSHG
* To instigate a regular programme of audits in clinical and non clinical areas.
* To promote and maintain good public relations with service commissioners and members of the public.

Essential Criteria:

* To have a strong determination to be the best and highly determined
* Driven and ambitious
* Must hold a Registered Manager's Award
* Superb communication skills and the natural ability to form strong relationships
* Enthusiastic with high energy and an ability to drive the business forward
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
