I am recruiting Senior Residential Support Workers to work in a Children's Residential Setting for a company based in the North West. I am looking for hard working dedicated Residential Support Workers who are ready to step up into a Senior Residential Support Worker Role or existing Senior Residential Support Workers looking for a new challenge. If you are ready to take the next step and move into a Senior Residential Support Workers Role in a Residential Children's home then I have a number of positions in and around Widnes. The young people are between the ages of 8 and 17, who may have EBD and LD. As a Team Leader in a Residential Children's home you will be part of a valued team to provide a nurturing and homely environment for the young people to thrive. You will be expected to set boundaries, lead by example and support the young people as much as possible, to ensure their transition to adulthood is the best it can be.
The role of a Senior Residential Support Worker in a Residential Children's home can be challenging, but also massively rewarding. You will receive first class training and will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People). You will be working within an established and experienced team who will make you feel welcome and supported.
The ideal candidate will have:Ability to be able to manage conflict/challenging behaviourA minimum of 12 month's experience of child care work in a relevant settingAbility to maintain home recordsMust be IT literateMust be able to complete records to a high standard (such as daily records)Ability to plan and prioritise workload.Ability to maintain sound professional judgement when working under pressure.Ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative.Ability to learn and develop new skills.Must be prepared to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as requested.To sleep-in as required.Must be a driver with a car and business insurance, and be prepared to use for young peopleBe prepared to attend regular training
