    To assist with the provision of a general document services support service which provides mail, print and scanning to the council. Duties:1. To act as document services courier, delivering and collecting mail and other items from Schools and Council run buildings. 2.To attend to the document services reception as necessary, liaising with customers as required in line with the delivery of the service.3.To assist in the effective handling and processing of incoming and outgoing communications and goods, both physically and electronically.4.To assist in providing a scanning service, sorting and batching documents as necessary.5.To assist with the operation of high volume printers, multi-function devices and other print room duties.6.To check incoming goods and deliveries against documentation and to arrange for the storage of goods and supplies prior to delivery to departments.7.To liaise with the Document Services Officer to manage and maintain adequate stocks of consumable items.8.To ensure that all work is completed using the most appropriate and cost effective solution9.To undertake clerical/administration tasks associated with delivery of the services and maintain appropriate records10.To ensure a high quality customer orientated service is delivered at all times, which meets performance monitoring and quality requirements. This role will be until at least the end of March 2022 but could be extended longer. You would be working 30 hours a week, 09:00am -3:00pm Monday to Friday. Job Purpose To provide general clerical assistance and support in the provision of emergency accommodation. Key Results Areas To provide direct support to the Accommodation Team, in provision of emergency housingProvide administrative support to Newport City Council representatives/employees in relation to the provision of housing.Liaise with Newport City Council approved contractors.Gather and record data from 3rd parties and partner organisations.Provide general clerical support to the Temporary Accommodation team to ensure the smooth running of the emergency accommodation service.
