    Medical Records Admin Clerk Department: Medical Records Location: CamberleyStart Date: ASAP End Date: 31/12/2021 Working Pattern: 37.5 Duties: Reception skills. Reception duties, phone calls with patients, clinic preparation Band: 2 Skills: NHS experience desirable but not essential. In-house training To be multi-skilled to carry out a variety of administration tasks relating to patient health records for the Trust as part of the Medical Records Scanning Bureau Team. Key Responsibilities- Taking, recording and acting upon telephone messages and requests in a polite and helpful manner.- To be actively involved in and participate in ongoing training programmes.- In accordance with Data Protection and the Trusts internal transport service timetable ensure health records are secured and ready for transportation across all sites. To be responsible for organising taxis for transporting emergency health records across the Trust outside the transport timetable when the Legacy case notes are required urgently..- To support the Trust in delivering the 18-Week target and Cancer 2-week waits (QMCW).- To ensure management information is collected within agreed timescales and in an accurate manner to produce monthly performance reports.- To assist in the implementation in the department procedure in the event of the Trust declaring a Major Incident- To ensure strict confidentiality is maintained at all times in respect of patient records in the care of the post holder.- Undertake any other similar duties in line with the key purpose of the job.- The post holder will be required to maintain confidential information about patients of the Trust or other persons employed by the Trust either living or dead. Relaxation of this stipulation will be possible within the conditions laid down in the Trust policies, and as per the Data Protection Act 1998 and Freedom of Information Act 2000.- The post holder is responsible for the management of risk in all the areas for which they are responsible. The post holder is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the Trust & Health and Safety Policy (TPP405).
