    About the RoleAt our Aylesford site we are looking to recruit an experienced individual as a Factory Operative in our production area. You will work within a team in a fast-paced environment reporting to the Shift Manufacturing Manager. You will be responsible for operating a variety of Machinery such as Digital print, Hand-fed Platens and Lamina Mounting machines. Experience with Kongsberg, Elitron, Guillotine, HP17000k digital printer, HP11000k digital printer, Young shin, Hand fed Platen or Lamina preferred but not essential if you have the right attitude and happy to learn.Health and safety is a very important aspect within our business and you will be accountable for your own and others health and safety whilst at work, operating within the DS Smith safe systems of work guidelines.Within your role as a Factory Operative you are key to ensuring that productivity is exceptional and your excellent focus on attention to detail ensures that the quality of the work leads to minimal errors and that we have satisfied clients while working within tight deadlines. You need to ensure that the maintenance and cleaning tasks on the machines are planned to ensure maximum output.The role requires you to work with a variety personnel within your area of production.Hours of workYou will be required to work 32 hours a week Monday to Thursday working nights 22.30 to 06.30 You will work on an annualised contract where during our Peak times from August to October, you will be expected to work 40 hours a week Monday to Friday on the same shift basis and we will then give you these days off during our quiet periods.
