Randstad Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a large secondary school in Liverpool for a temporary School Exams Officer to start immediately. The school caters for pupils from 11 to 18 years old from the surrounding community.


The role of Exams Officer is an interim position for approximately 2 months, until the end of the academic examinations period in June. This is a full-time position, 37 hours Monday to Friday, to start as soon as possible, and is an exciting challenge to undertake at this crucial time of year.


As the Exams Officer your responsibilities would include:

- managing all aspects of the examinations system

- being the main point of contact between the school and the awarding bodies

- accurate entry of student examinations in advance of deadlines

- organising exam materials, providing safe custody of and organising examination stationery and materials

- managing the exams timetable including room bookings and seating plans

- organising and liaising with the SLT for the provision of invigilation throughout the exams period

- liaising with the SENCO regarding special arrangements for students with additional needs

- maintaining the SIMS database and producing reports


As the successful applicant, you will have:

- Experience using SIMS (School Information Management System) is essential

- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, including attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task

- An understanding of examinations legislation and procedures

- The ability to reach deadlines under pressure, and prioritise workload

- The ability to work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion
