An thriving school for students who are experiencing Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties is looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate and committed Primary leader with Key Stage 1 and 2 teaching responsibilities to help formulate and manage the School Improvement Plan and the aims and objectives of the school.
The mixed independent residential school is for students aged 5 -18 is located in the Brighton area.
The successful teacher will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs as well as social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Your responsibilities will include:
* To be responsible for monitoring, supporting and tracking progress of students across Key Stages 1 and 2.
* To lead and advise Curriculum leaders and their teams in developing of appropriate strategies, methods for teaching and intervention.
* To support in the provision and provision mapping of the schools curriculum.
* Have the ability to respond to different learning styles which is essential together with a commitment to promote active engagement within lessons.
* To be a leader with drive and enthusiasm.
* Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively as an effective team member
* To liaise with other professionals and parents as and when required.
* To ensure the safety and well being of pupils at all times.
* To plan and deliver inspiring lessons.


The ideal candidate may posses the following skills and capabilities:
* Previous work within a EBD school or other transferable child-related experience
* QTS is essential
* Teaching and leader experience
* Is able to continue to raise the standards of teaching and learning, leading and promoting outstanding teaching on a day to day basis.
* Can work effectively with other school leaders, helping to promote and embed the schools vision statements.
* Is able to balance operational and strategic responsibilities on a day to day basis, ensuring successful outcomes.
* Is a great communicator and able to forge excellent relationships with all stakeholders, parents, staff and pupils.
