A specialised school in the Worthing area is looking for a KS2 SEN teacher to join their thriving school and be part of a fun and dynamic team.
You will be teaching a class of 4-6 students aged 11-12 years old who are mainly on the autistic spectrum and vary between high and low functioning levels. You will also have the support of 2 teaching assistants.

Your role will include
Tailoring lesson plans for the individual student based on their P level
Preparing materials, equipment and lessons
Assessing the individual learning needs of pupils
Evaluating and reporting pupils' progress to teachers, carers, health care professionals and anybody else who helps them
Liaising with parents, carers and other professionals who work with the pupil
Supervising activities such as trips locally or abroad

Skills required for this role
A clear understanding of P Levels SEN curriculum
Patience, resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing situations
A team player
Motivated to grow within the school and be a vital member of staff
Coping with challenging behaviour and dealing with difficult situations
