A school in the Brighton area is looking for an SEN teaching assistant to join their energetic and thriving support team.
Your role as an SEN teaching assistant will be vital to the students' sense of continuity in their school setting.
The learners are on various degrees on the Autistic spectrum which will present its challenges but also strengths.

Your role will include the following:
Assist pupils individually and in groups with their work following the direction and guidance of the Teacher Work with pupils both inside the classroom and elsewhere to encourage independence, maintain personal confidence
Bring issues of concern to the class teacher to ensure pupils behave in class and engage appropriately.
Support basic administrative duties such as photocopying, filing and displaying work.
Supervise pupils at break times where designated.

Your skills should include:
Building positive relationships with pupils
Support the ethos of the school by implementing the Behaviour policy and school expectations.
Encourages and support other staff in the area of work
Ensure that pupils are properly safeguarded and supported following the school's Health & Safety guidance.
Attend all in service training sessions and apply appropriate knowledge and guidance.
Support the school's physical intervention protocol
Assist in the transportation of pupils to school vehicles where required.
