I am currently recruiting for an experienced teaching assistant to join a very creative school in the Crawley area. This SEN school are users of the Steiner approach, which means that you will be involved in creative outdoor activities on a daily basis. You will be supporting students in forest school, horticulture and horse riding activities. You will be joining a class of 4 lovely students in their primary unit.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Taking part in and supervising outdoor activities and educational trips
-Supporting the general wellbeing of learners
-Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
-Providing feedback to the teacher on progress and development
-Supervising and striving to improve behaviour
-Tailoring learning techniques to individual learners

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Own means of transport is essential
-Be flexible and creative in your approach to learning techniques.
-Ability to build positive and appropriate relationships with children.
-Have an understanding of and an interest in SEN.
-Be confident to lead small groups in different educational subjects.
-Be able to work with learners who have various learning difficulties.
