Do you have a passion for and an interest in working with SEN/EBD? Have you got experience working with children aged 6-16? Are you able to think creatively when it comes to learning?

We are looking for a compassionate and engaging SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialised school in Horley to work with children aged 6-16. This role will give you the opportunity to work with children who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will have the chance to work as part of a team who are dedicated and experienced in making life and education easier for these children.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Monitoring and evaluating learners' learning under the guidance of the teacher
-Supporting all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas
-Supporting the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
-Providing group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
-Working individually with learners/students to develop work.
-Assisting teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties.
-Have an understanding of the students with special needs.
-Have experience working in SEND settings.
-Experience working with children is essential
-Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
-The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team.
-Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects.
-Be flexible in their approach to education.
