A specialised school near the Horsham area is looking for a teaching assistant who can work with Autistic children from a variety of age ranges (4 to 14 year olds). Working with Autism and students with emotional, behavioural difficulties is quite the challenge but it is extremely rewarding.

Your role will require:
Liaise with teacher to ensure all learners are supported
Engage with the learners to keep them on task
Assist during break duty, outings and class activities
Deliver 1:1 or small group focused lessons when required

The skills required:
Good maths and English
Previous experience working with Autistic learners is essential
Patience and flexibility to deal with changes
Ability to look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
