A specialised school in the Hove area is looking for an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join their school support team.
Your role as an SEN teaching assistant is vital to the continuity and stability of the learners' development so you do need to be committed to this role.

Your role will include:
Working closely with students on a 1:1 or small group basis
Liaising with the teacher to ensure smooth running class
Assist during break times and outings
Delivering lessons to groups within the class for a more focused session

Skills required for this role:
Confidence delivering small lessons to small groups
Experience working with EBD learners is essential
Good English and maths skills
An understanding of de-escalation when faced with conflicts
Resilience and understanding
