Do you like the sound of a part time non class based opportunity where you can make a real difference with the children who need support? Are you a Primary teacher looking to progress your career as a SENCO in a 'good' school in Watford, Hertfordshire?

This two form entry school in central Watford are looking for a talented SENCO to join their friendly team from January 2019. The post is offered from January 2019 for 3 days per week with no class responsibility but with an opportunity to run intervention groups.

Roles & Responsibilities:



*

Provide effective leadership, support and management in order to build and maintain an effective team, which continually enhances the quality of provision for SEND


*

Represent the school at DSPL meetings, panel meetings, ENF cluster groups, SENCo cluster meetings and other SEND events


*

Support and lead class teachers in making reasonable adjustments within the classroom to support individual needs as appropriate


*

Meet with parents of SEND children on a termly basis to discuss needs, provision and targets


To be successful you will have:



* National SENCO qualification or be prepared to study for it
* High expectations
* Strong commitment to children's learning and progress
* QTS (must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
* Experience of Middle Leadership e.g. Phase Leader
* A passion SEN
