M&E Manager / M&E Project Manager is required for a major hospital construction project. Primarily the role is pre-construction led, also supporting the site teams with the delivery of M&E Services for a variety of projects. This position will suit someone from a large M&E contractors background or a building services engineer that has experience in delivering M&E services for a main contractor. Ideally you will have a HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and recent hospital experience.

The duties for the individual include:

1 Supervising on contracts, sub contract, consultants, design teams and specialists.
2 Site Method statements, risk assessments.
3 Attend all meetings, and heading M&E.
4 Design Verification.
5 Carrying out the works.
6 Liaising with project and site managers and M&E sub contractors to ensure that the installation of the M&E installation is co-ordinated with the fabric of the building.
7 To report on the progress and quality of the M&E installation and advice on the procurement and delivery of plant/materials and ensure that they are available within the construction programme.

The candidates need to be self-driven, pending on position be able to cover multiple project (pre-con and ops) including other issues such a technical queries on latent defects and the like. We are looking for someone who can bring a good positive attitude to the services department and fit in with the dynamic of team, does not accept the norm and wants to be creative in what we do and how we do it and keep evolving the department and the business.
