Job Description

Management of quality activities to ensure mutual cooperation between Quality functions including working with the supplier base ensuring both proactive and reactive actions are in place to assure production of OK parts

* Ensure intercompany quality activities are managed in a mutually cooperative manner
* Represent Quality department interests when working with other Quality functions
* Provide cultural guidance and occasional English/Chinese translation support our Quality teams
* Represent Quality with regards to supplier base synergy
* Ensure SQE/SQA competence, resources and support are shared geographically
* Organise and manage conference meetings and face to face meetings

Supplier Audit/Assessment:

* Ensure supplier audit/site assessments are conducted against plan for series production and projects
* Drive resolution of open issues raised by team

Supplier Development

* Agree supplier development activity plan with stakeholders
* Report out KPIs and status and escalate issues as required

New Part Introduction and Supplier Preparation

* Develop Quality Planning (APQP)/PPAP activity plan for new projects
* ­Ensure all supplier visits completed and manage completion of actions raised
* Management of PPAP/LPAP activities, including parts readiness & part approvals



* Degree or similar - Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering.
* Several years Automotive OEM or 1st tier supplier SQA experience must have sound knowledge of APQP systems & procedures.
* MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
* SQA experience in automotive or related industry or 1st tier supplier.
* Self starter, able to work under own initiative. Capability to operate under pressure.
* Must be able to demonstrate good problem solving skills & logical approach. Pro-active approach to supplier development.
* Good verbal & written English and Chinese is essential
* Full UK clean driving licence or equivalent. Flexibility and ability to travel at short notice UK / EU / Worldwide


* Structure Problem Solving approach - e.g. 8D, Six Sigma etc.

MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint. As well as working knowledge of ERP systems

Other Information

Worldwide travel to suppliers will be required as part of role. It is expected that time will be spent in China at our sites and at suppliers facilities
