A permanent position has become available for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a £70m t/o Regional contractor on projects across Yorkshire and the East Midlands.

Competitive basic salary between £50,000 and £60,000
Car / Car allowance.
Matched contribution pension scheme.

Experience Required:

Previous experience of commercially managing several projects simultaneously for a Regional Main Contractor.
New Build and Refurbishment experience.
Strong numeracy and financial management skills .
Ability to write clear and precise reports.
Negotiation and team work ability.
Detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters.

Management of small to medium sized Building projects within Yorkshiire across Commercial, Industrial and Education sectors.

Key Accountabilities:

Support the project team in all commercial matters.
Liaise with the site teams and take the lead with contract administration.
Ensure cash flow is maximised including ensuring payments are received on time.
Ensure the accurate and timely evaluation and agreement of final quantities, revised and additional items, rates and compensation events.
Identify additional entitlement under the contract including the monitoring of daily records,
Identify and realise opportunities to maximise cost/value management.
Preparation of accurate and timely monthly valuation reports.
Procurement and management of subcontract packages.
Evaluate risks and review project risk register.
Assist with preparation of contractual claims.
Measure and assess the work undertaken and then submit detailed, accurate and timely applications.
