Senior Research Analyst/Business Journalist - Southbank London Salary Circa £25,000-£35,000 + 10%

Experience in Business writing, Market Research, Analysis, Presenting, Client facing, Public speaking all must haves!

Are you experienced in business writing and love creating engaging content, telling a story with data? Do you have client facing and presentation skills, a analytical mindset with a strong track record in business related research projects? If you prefer to actually present your work to a room of people and enjoy the prospect of occasional international travel, this role could be just right for you!

An award business publisher is looking for a Research or Senior Research Analyst to work on client based market research projects where you will present back your findings directly to them using the data and resources you find and that are provided. The successful candidate will implement research projects through engaging with members, creating regular content including unique case studies, analysis articles, blogs and thought leadership across all platforms - membership pages, website, print, social media and network communities.

The right person for the job will have the rigor, analytical ability and personality to be able to present findings on client premises, at international events and through video webinars! Perfect for someone who is comfortable with public speaking. Stakeholder collaboration and engagement is a major aspect of this pivotal role in a newly created, already very successful division. The Senior Analyst will play a major part in business growth through content creation, client engagement and innovative research!

Layout of responsibilities:

Content:

*Developing new research projects from the ground up.
oRegular research into the various elements of your business segment. Looking to explore new and creative ways of putting these together, rather than relying purely on the database.
*Developing, with the support of others, the Division's (Innovation centre) Diagnostic tool. Helping clients navigate the tool when developed and explain/make sense of the results.
*Developing, with the support of others, the Division's prescription and action plan templates and delivering to clients. Helping to link these to customer value plans.
*Developing, with the support of others, the Innovation Index.
oTaking the annual innovation research to the next level and merging it with a new diagnostic tool.
*Creating regular content pinned to the division Methodology, including:
oUnique case studies
oAnalysis articles
oBlogs
oThought leadership
*Taking a key role in the delivery and creation of collaboration calls in line with key customer needs.
*Producing progress reports for clients in line with the diagnostic and prescription tools.

Engagement:

*Helping with the client-onboarding process, being on initial calls to present our content proposition and answer any questions.
*Having direct and regular contact with the client base and striking up deep, trusted relationships with key individuals.
*Driving engagement with membership through regular newsletters.
*Taking ownership and continuing to drive our social-media presence, on LinkedIn & Twitter.
*Working with internal stakeholders to help deliver projects in a timely fashion, including marketing, events, and others where appropriate.

Other:

*Presenting on client premises, webinars and at events.
*Working with marketing to track engagement and gauge the success of content.
*Working with the wider team on how your division is represented at key points, including events.

Qualifications:

2-3 years experience in business sector research projects (B2B Journalism, Content Writing, Research Analyst) ideally in business intelligence or business information publishing
Educated to a University Degree level - journalism, media, marketing, research or similar discipline
Strong background in creating engaging content, excellent writing skills, blogging, report writing, thought leadership (ideally B2B)
Social Media experience , LinkedIn & Twitter
Confidence in stakeholder management, able to build trusted relationships and presenting publicly
Highly analytical
Able to work to deadlines
Able to work collaboratively, strategically
Above all - MUST be innovative and creative and OUTGOING !!
