Are you an experienced Social Housing Surveyor seeking a permanent job in the Devon area?

We have an exciting opportunity to work in one of the most picturesque parts of England. Our client has an opportunity for experienced Social Housing Surveyor to join the Property Services Team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will complete a varied role consisting of Reactive Repairs, Voids and Compliance.


To be responsible for the staff, contractors and contracts providing the day to day repair service to the organisations housing stock and the Asset Management of other buildings and provide technical advice.

* Ensure compliance matters relating to Reactive Repairs and Voids across the stock are managed in line with current legislation.
* Ensure the organisation are leading good practise in relation to asbestos, gas safety, fire risk and all other areas of statutory compliance.
* Ensure empty properties are brought up to standard, reducing turnaround times.
* Lead the Maintenance Surveyors and Advisors to ensure the Property and Asset Team achieve its objectives and targets.
* Support the Service Review Group, attending meetings and prepare agendas.
* Maximise procurement savings by ensuring contractors use materials and services provided through ASW and/or other supply chain procurement agreements.
* Evaluate and assist in managing risk within the service


A good educational background alongside varied work experience involving management of personnel is key to working within this specialist role.

HNC or equivalent in a building related subject, or significant experience managing staff and contractors delivering repairs and maintenance.

A working knowledge of current CDM and building regulations.
