Senior Town Planner - Central London

Are you an experienced Town Planning professional looking to progress? Due to an increase in secured workload, we are seeking a Senior Town planner to join our Local Government planning division for our client, a consultancy based in London, who are offering a career defining opportunity for an ambitious planning professional looking to build their reputation and portfolio of planning experience in a successful, rapidly growing consultancy.

Post: Senior Town Planner

Rate: Circa £25 -£30 per hour

Long term contract

The main duties of the role are as followings;

* Process a mixed range of planning applications
* Assist in training and mentoring junior members of the team
* Lead on pre-application discussions and provide advice, process planning applications
* Identify and maximise opportunities to increase revenue
* Represent the Council and Consultancy at public meetings, including but not limited to committee, hearings, inquiries and Court
* In addition, the post-holder will be expected to undertake other reasonable duties, as required by the business.


* Degree in a Planning related discipline
* Excellent technical knowledge of the Town Planning system
* Demonstrable knowledge of provision of administrative processes relating to the processing of planning applications
* Planning experience in a consultancy or local government environment
