Shift Engineer, Chester, £30k - £33k, Permanent

A worldwide prestigious FM company are recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join their maintenance team in a permanent capacity.

Job purpose:

Due to a reorganisation of the site team there is a requirement for an Engineer to work on one of the shifts to ensure that there is a full team on site and service delivery to the customer is maintained.

The Shift Engineer would be part of a 2 man shift including a Shift Leader. There are 2 shifts and 20 staff on site in total.

Shift hours for this role are 06.00 to 15.00 Monday to Friday followed by 14.45 to 23.45 Monday to Friday.

One week in 4 there is a requirement to work 08.00 to 17.00 Saturday & Sunday, the Thursday and Friday leading up to this are days off.

Key tasks:

* Response to M&E related reactive helpdesk tickets. To be responded to and completed with requested timescales including communication with the requestor.
* Completion of PPM to general M&E assets.
* Monitoring and management of specialist subcontractors in line with standard CBRE processes.
* General housekeeping activities for allocated buildings.
* Compliance with all relevant CBRE QHSE policies.
* On call duty as part of a rota.

Person Specification:


* Time served electrician with 17th Edition or equivalent in Mechanical terms with electrical experience.
* Full Driving licence
* Familiarity with typical M&E installations - electrical distribution, HVAC, domestic water systems
* At least 3 years experience as a Maintenance Engineer


* HV Qualified,
Confined space entry qualified
