SIMS Manager, Blackpool

Randstad Education are recruiting for a SIMS Manager on behalf of a Blackpool secondary school.

This is a full-time permanent position to start in September.

This is a great opportunity to work as part of a committed and supportive operations team. The post holder will be required to produce clear and accurate information to support the schools senior leaders. You will be adept to problem solving and support in strategies leading to school improvement.

Your job role will involve (but not be limited to);

* Managing SIMS and all other systems that interface with it.
* Responsible for the planning, development, organisation and monitoring of data management systems and the policies and procedures associated with it.
* Produce termly data capture information for SLT.
* Lead in house training and encourage the use of SIMS across the school. Also leading in staff development and training materials for the most effective use of SIMS to record and report on a range of data.
* Create and devise data systems to highlight and improve performance.
* Manage the academy timetable to accommodate flexible and personalised learning.
* Ensure all 'in year' admissions have an accurate timetable prior to starting school.
* Manage the day to cover for staff absence, planning for staffing and timetable changes.
* Arrange and communicate day-to-day changes in staffing and room allocation.
* Induct all supply cover staff and ensure DBS information is correct and allocated to the school HR advisor.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

* Substantial experience of working in a school environment.
* Recent experience of the school data system SIMS and SISRA Analytics; IT packages including a detailed understanding of working with spreadsheets including Excel.
* Ability to interrogate and analyse data.
* Ability to work with a range of professionals including external and internal partners.
* An ability to train other staff and deliver clear instructions to support their role with data.
* Be flexible and patient.
* Demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the job.
* Demonstrate the ability to work calmly, methodically and with meticulous accuracy when under pressure.
